Justice for Palestine Solidarity Statement

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

ROOTED UMMAH stands in solidarity with Palestinians and their demand for liberation, justice and safety. We unequivocally condemn the killing of all civilians.

“Whoever kills a human being without reason, it is as though he has killed all mankind.” (Quran 5:32)

Our ummah can not turn a blind eye on our brothers and sisters dying in Palestine. Israel is depriving them of their basic human and religious rights. The facts are indisputable. Palestinians live in an apartheid, colonial-settler state where they have been forced to live in dehumanizing conditions for over 70 years.

As of October 18, 2023, the number of people killed by Israel’s latest aggression on Gaza has risen to 4,200 and those injured to over 10,000. The majority of the casualties have been children and women.

According to the United Nations, an estimated 1 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been displaced in the first ten days of conflict with Israel in what can only be described as “catastrophic”.

We are deeply disappointed with the Biden Administration's decision to send more weapons to the Israeli state using U.S. taxpayer dollars.

ROOTED UMMAH firmly believes that Palestinians have a human right to live with dignity, to move freely, and to easily obtain safety. It is our obligation to stand in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and the oppressed and all over the world.
